ACMV&R Players Showcasing the Latest Innovations at MARVEX 2024

The Air-Conditioning, Mechanical Ventilation & Refrigeration (ACMV&R) players are putting their best foot forward as they showcase their latest and greatest innovations for the Malaysian Engineering Exhibition and Conference (MARVEX) 2024.

Gree Air shows off their aerodynamic gas bearing, centrifugal chiller

At MARVEX, Gree Air gives visitors a sneak peek into their latest product, aerodynamic gas bearing, centrifugal chiller which is set to hit the market next year. This product is aimed at those looking to retrofit a small tonnage chiller for their use.  Gree’s centrifugal chiller is relatively quiet operating below 70 dB and, it is light enough to fit into most freight elevators.

“Through this exhibition we hope to connect our solutions with local developers and consultants, so they can apply our technology to their project for a greener and more ESG friendly results,” said Calvin Koo, Gree Air Conditioner Head of Business Development.

Daikin unveils energy efficient, environmentally friendly Multi Split type air conditioner

Daikin Malaysia took the opportunity to show off their latest Multi Split type air conditioner at MARVEX – the R32 VRV S which uses non-ozone depleting refrigerant, R32 and the VRV 6X, sporting a new heat coil technology that resulted in a 13% improvement in energy efficiency over their previous product.

Daikin Malaysia Sdn Bhd’s Senior Manager of Marketing, Louis Chan said “These products that have a greater energy efficiency and an environmentally friendly refrigerant. They’ll be a great fit for customers looking to spec their upcoming projects.”

Panasonic shares their zero-emission innovation

At MARVEX, Panasonic showcased a range of products and innovations designed with sustainability and environmental responsibility at the forefront. These technologies are part of Panasonic’s commitment to achieving zero CO2 emissions across all its factories by 2030.

Leong Jian Wen, Senior Marketing Executive at Panasonic Air-Conditioning Malaysia, highlighted the company’s ABS absorption chiller system, which uses waste heat for cooling as one of their key commercial solutions.

“This is an in-house development,” Leong explained. “Currently, 30 of our factories have reached zero emissions, including one in Penang.”
