Sr Ahmad Farrin Mokhtar is the Chief Executive of the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) Malaysia, appointed on 8 June 2026. He has more than 25 years of experience in Malaysia’s construction industry, covering policy development, contractor development, business development, enforcement, Industrialised Building System (IBS), quality, safety and corporate management. He holds a Diploma and a Bachelor of Quantity Surveying (Hons.) from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), a Postgraduate Diploma in Information Technology in Construction from the University of Salford, United Kingdom, and a Master of Business Administration (Construction Management) from the International Islamic University Malaysia(IIUM). Prior to his appointment as Chief Executive, Sr Ahmad Farrin served in various leadership positions within CIDB Malaysia, including Senior General Manager of the Contractor and Construction PersonnelDevelopment Sector and the Policy and Corporate Sector, as well as Director of CIDB Johor. Throughout his career, he has played a significant role in driving strategic initiatives, strengthening industry governance, and formulating policies to enhance the productivity, sustainability and competitiveness of Malaysia’s construction industry. As Chief Executive, he provides strategic leadership in advancing the transformation of the construction industry through productivity, digitalisation, talent development and sustainable practices in line with the nation’s development agenda.

Mr Kevin Dare, MCIOB, is the Managing Director of CoGri Group of companies and has been involved with high tolerance floors for over 35 years. As well as developing unique methods of constructing ‘Super Flat’ floors, he is the inventor of the Laser Grinder® and an ever-expanding family of CoGri Digital Floor surveying instruments, including the Profileograph, Prop II meter, the DIN meter, and F Speed Reader. Kevin is a founder member and past Chairman of the UK’s Association of Concrete Industrial Flooring Contractors (ACIFC). He was also on the working party for the current edition of the Concrete Society’s Technical Report 34, Version 4, and is instrumental in developing the flatness specifications within this standard. As well as running a global group of specialist companies that design, specify, test, construct, and remediate high-tolerance floors, he also advises working parties on UK, European, and ISO standards for floor surface regularity. Kevin is regularly consulted on floor flatness requirements for automated and robotic systems worldwide, helping develop specifications for optimal performance in a way the construction industry can easily understand and deliver. He is often seen as the bridge connecting the materials handling, automated systems, and robotics sectors with the industrial flooring industry, understanding the requirements of one and the capabilities of the other. Kevin’s commitment to excellence extends beyond his professional endeavors. He actively fosters industry-wide collaboration and knowledge sharing and is viewed as a mentor and advisor to aspiring professionals in the field; thus, confirming his reputation as a trailblazer in the industrial flooring market.

A senior architect focusing on power supply and cooling systems within the data‑center industry with 20‑year‑long professional experience. Throughout Zhang’s career, he has delivered customized infrastructure solutions with a total capacity exceeding 10 gigawatts for different clients. He devoted to designing stable, energy‑saving power‑and‑cooling architectures for large‑scale IDC projects and solve practical operational challenges for data‑center operators. Besides technical work, Zhang serves as the co‑founder of DeepKnowledge, China’s largest IDC community. He regularly shares industry insights, facilitate technical communication and connect practitioners nationwide. With rich project‑delivery experience and industry‑wide influence, he continues to explore reliable and low‑carbon infrastructure designs to support fast‑growing computing demands.

For more than 15 years journey in industrial automation, Eugene Quah brings with him strong experience through the development and trends in the business across diverse key end user segments. He joined Schneider Electric in 2015 as Regional Sales Support Manager, Industrial Control & Drives oversee the drives business within East Asia and Japan region. Being the subject matter expert, he leads the deployment of strategic initiative in driving the growth of product, solutions and systems. In his current assignment as Country President, he aspires to drive digital transformation, aligning with Schneider Electric’s goal to revolutionize process and energy technologies from homes to industries, enhancing Malaysia’s digital landscape, paving the way for sustainability. Prior to this, he is the Cluster Business Vice President, who is responsible for industrial automation P&L for Singapore, Malaysia and Brunei, driving transformation in channels – specialized distribution, original equipment manufacturer and system integrator channels. He works with partners providing automation solutions across various application helping customer to improve productivity and operational efficiency.

A seasoned engineering professional with over two decades of experience in consulting industry with recent years leading and managing mission-critical infrastructure projects, with a particular emphasis on data centers. He has consistently taken on senior leadership roles such as Project Director, Project Manager, and Design Manager, overseeing all phases of project delivery – from site due diligence and master planning to design development and construction administration. Beyond his extensive data center experience, Wong Wai-Mun has also led projects in commercial buildings, high-rise residential developments, retail complexes, and advanced manufacturing facilities. His portfolio includes offices, hotels, shopping malls, serviced apartments, and industrial plants, demonstrating his versatility across asset classes. His work is characterized by strategic oversight and technical excellence, often involving coordination across multi-disciplinary teams and international offices. He is known for his ability to align engineering solutions with client objectives, guide teams through complex technical decisions, and ensure compliance with local regulations and global standards. He has also played a key role in consolidating and implementing global design frameworks, integrating advanced technologies and sustainability strategies into data center developments. In addition to his technical leadership, he is actively involved in business development, client relationship management, and risk mitigation, contributing to the growth and success of the organizations he represents. His comprehensive understanding of data center requirements and his collaborative approach make him a trusted leader in the industry.

Ir. Ts. Indiran Nadarajan currently serves as the Head of End User Sales & Prescription at Schneider Electric, where he leads two critical commercial portfolios that drive strategic growth across Malaysia. In his expanded role, Indiran spearheads the End User business with a strong focus on the Water & Environment, Transportation, and Buildings End Markets segments, while also overseeing diversified market development in East Malaysia. Concurrently, he leads the Prescription team, shaping market influence through strong consultant engagement and specification strategies. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Power Engineering and a Master’s degree in Engineering Management from Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN). Indiran is a registered Member of the Institution of Engineering & Technology (MIET)and currently serves as the Vice Chairman of the IET Malaysia Local Network for the 2025–2027 term. Professionally, he is recognized as a Chartered Engineer (Engineering Council UK), a Professional Engineer(Board of Engineers Malaysia), a Professional Technologist (Malaysia Board of Technologists), and a Project Management Professional (PMP). With more than 14 years of experience in electrical distribution systems, Indiran’s technical depth spans the entire project lifecycle; from early-stage design and engineering to commissioning, across both upstream and downstream networks. His leadership is anchored in advancing sustainability, digital transformation, and system modernization across the end-to-end value chain. He focuses on enabling future-ready infrastructures through real-time data visibility, digital intelligence, and software-driven electrical distribution modernization, helping clients transition toward safer, more resilient, and energy-efficient operations. Indiran is also actively engaged in shaping industry standards. He contributes to national technical committees including NSC 19 / TC 15 – Smart Manufacturing and NSC 19/ TC 9 – Environmental Standardisation for Electrical and Electronic Products and Systems, where he plays an important role in advancing Malaysia’s industrial and environmental frameworks.

A distinguished engineering leader, academic strategist, technology advocate and regional thought leader in artificial intelligence, smart manufacturing and engineering capacity building. He serves as Deputy Vice-Chancellor at Kuala Lumpur University of Science and Technology(KLUST), and is currently Vice President of the Institution of Engineers, Malaysia (IEM). At the ASEAN level, he serves as Secretary General of the ASEAN Federation of Engineering Organisations and actively advances professional engineering collaboration, talent development and regional technology transformation. Prof. Tan has more than 25 years of professional experience in high-end engineering, intelligent manufacturing, Industry 4.0, automation, robotics, digital transformation and industrial productivity improvement. He has been actively engaged in China–Malaysia and China–ASEAN technology exchange platforms, including dialogues and forums related to artificial intelligence, digital transformation, smart manufacturing, robotics and engineering innovation. His work supports stronger collaboration between China, Malaysia and ASEAN in translating emerging technologies into industrial applications, professional capacity building and future-ready talent development. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers, Malaysia, Fellow of the ASEAN Academy of Engineering and Technology (AAET), Fellow of the Academy of Engineering and Technology for the Developing World (AETDEW), ASEAN Engineer, APEC Engineer and International Professional Engineer. Through his leadership across Malaysia, ASEAN, China-related platforms and international engineering networks, Prof. Tan continues to promote responsible AI adoption, engineering intelligence, industry-academia collaboration and the development of future-ready engineers and technology leaders.

Ir. Dr. Sanjayan brings over 35 years of experience across industry, government, international organisations, and academia. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia and completed his postgraduate studies at Kyushu University, Japan.

He has held several senior leadership roles, including Executive Director of the ASEAN Centre for Energy (Indonesia), Chief Executive Officer of SEDA Malaysia, and Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Energy Commission of Malaysia. His expertise spans energy regulation, policy, and technology.

He began his career with Tenaga Nasional Berhad and later served as an Associate Professor at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. He has held positions as Deputy Director at A*STAR Singapore and Head of Power Services for Asia-Pacific at General Electric, based in Singapore.

In recognition of his expertise, he has served as an Advisory Board Member of the Asia Pacific Energy Research Centre (APERC), Japan, and contributed to the World Economic Forum’s Global Future Council on Energy (2018–2019). In 2019, he was awarded the ASEAN Excellence in Energy Management (Individual Category) at the 37th ASEAN Ministers on Energy Meeting.
