With over 30 years in sustainable cooling, Mr. Chusak leads Thailand’s refrigerant transition and Net Zero efforts. He champions flammable refrigerant safety, technician training, and low-carbon innovation through cross-sector collaboration, while actively contributing to regional platforms advancing practical climate solutions in the HVAC&R industry.
Mr. Ryan Ooi Chean Weai
Senior Principal Assistant Director, Ozone Protection Section, Air Division, Department of Environment (DOE), Malaysia
With over 20 years of experience in environmental management and policy, he leads Malaysia’s implementation of the Montreal Protocol, including HCFC Phase-out Stages II and III and the Kigali Implementation Plan. He actively contributes to international environmental negotiations and national strategies on air quality and ozone layer protection.
Ms. Christine Younghui Kim
Head of International Relations, Korea Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Industry Association (KRAIA)
Christine oversees global partnerships, export support, and standards development for over 200 Korean HVAC & R manufacturers. She leads ISO committee work, supports SMEs with certification and technical guidance, and advises MOTIE and MOE on refrigerant policy and efficiency regulations—strengthening Korea’s role in global HVAC & R innovation.

Senior Engineer, Midea Building Technologies (Representing CRAA)
Chen holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in HVAC & R from Tongji University. Representing CRAA, he works at Midea Building Technologies focusing on integrating IoT with HVAC systems. With 5+ years’ experience, he is committed to advancing intelligent, energy-efficient, and user-friendly HVAC solutions through smart software and system design.
Mr. Arshad Nuval Othman
Head of Sustainable Finance, CIMB Islamic
Arshad leads the sustainable finance agenda at CIMB Islamic, driving ESG integration and strategic sustainability initiatives. Since joining in 2019, he has served in key roles covering Islamic finance, public sector engagement, and development finance. With prior experience in corporate banking at HSBC Amanah and AFFIN Bank, he brings strong expertise in structuring solutions for corporates, GLCs, and multinationals.
Mr. Norazrin Bin Rupadi
Deputy Director, Energy Efficiency Development Unit, Energy Commission of Malaysia
He leads Malaysia’s energy efficiency initiatives, including NEEAP 2.0, while overseeing programmes under the 11th Malaysia Plan. He enforces EMEER 2008, evaluates energy-related tax incentives, and advises on the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Act. Active in ASEAN EE&C-SSN, he contributes to regional cooperation and holds a Master’s in Energy Management from UNITEN.

With over 27 years in property management, he has overseen residential, hospitality, and commercial developments worth more than RM5 billion across Malaysia.
