What a ride. ENGINEER & MARVEX 2026 has wrapped after four packed days of big ideas, serious business and plenty of fun along the way. Deals were explored, products launched, questions answered, technologies put to the test and knowledge freely shared. From packed forums and high-energy Power Talks to business meetings and Live Showcases, there was barely a quiet corner in the house.
And the numbers tell their own story. 15,600 visitors. 70 countries. 7% growth. They joined the action, bringing a mix of engineers, industry leaders, regulators, technology providers, buyers, academics and future talent together under one roof. Different markets, different expertise, different perspectives and plenty to talk about.
And talk they did. KLEF, the MARVEX Forum, IEM conferences and Power Talks Industry and Business kept the conversations moving, tackling everything from AI, cooling and building performance to BESS, data centres, sustainability and energy efficiency.
Some conversations went straight to the rulebook. Town Hall sessions brought regulators and industry stakeholders face-to-face, meanwhile, business was getting done. The Business Matching Programme connected regional and international buyers with Malaysian exhibitors, opening conversations around sourcing, partnerships and new markets. Across the exhibition floor, companies also took advantage of a ready-made audience of industry professionals to unveil new products and solutions, while MOUs were signed and handshakes promised future cooperation.
Then there were the showstoppers
The HVAC Innovation for Smart & Green Building, BESS and Data Centre Live Showcases turned technologies into something visitors could see, explore and understand up close. The Data Centre Live Showcase went one better this year, or rather, one level higher. Its two-storey configuration incorporated IBS construction alongside M&E systems, controls and connectivity, while giving visitors a revealing bird’s-eye view of how everything fits together.
There were new beginnings too. Data Centre Exhibition Asia (DCX Asia) made its debut this year, and before the curtain could come down, another newcomer was already waiting in the wings, with the Asia Fire Safety Expo soft-launched ahead of its arrival in 2027.
So yes, the halls are quieter now. The booths will come down and everyone will head back to their projects, businesses and drawing boards. But the best exhibitions do not really end when the doors close.
The deals move forward. The ideas get tested. The connections continue. And the conversations started at ENGINEER & MARVEX 2026 now head out into the industry.
