MARVEX Skill Competition Celebrates Its Second Champion

MARVEX hosted its second skill competition, where students raced against time to assemble air-conditioning units. Muhamad Zamin Dzulkifli from Institute Latihan Perindustrian Kuala Lumpur (ILP KL) emerged as the winner, taking home an air-conditioning unit from Panasonic.

Peter Tan, President of the Malaysian Air-Conditioning & Refrigeration Association (MACRA), remarked, “This is the second year of the competition, and we’ve already seen a vast improvement in skills. This year, six competitors completed the task within the time limit, compared to only two last year.”

The competition drew significant interest from visitors and exhibitors, with foreign attendees noting the uniqueness of such an event. “Next year, we aim to expand the competition to working professionals, including dealers and installers,” added Tan.
