More than technology and business talks, new partnerships are being made right here on the exhibition floor. The Institution of Engineers, Malaysia (IEM) brought together government, industry, professional bodies and higher education institutions for a series of MoU signings, turning conversations into formal collaborations and opening the door to what comes next.
Ir. Prof. Dr Wong Yew Hoong, Honorary Treasurer, IEM, said through the MoU signings, IEM hopes to build stronger links between the academic profession, academia, and the wider community.
“The MoUs provide a platform for us to work together in areas such as professional development, knowledge, and technology sharing.”
He added the MoU also covered students and young engineer development, research and innovation, as well as activities that benefit society.
“We hope it will lead to meaningful and sustainable collaborations.” said Ir. Prof. Dr Wong.
Through these collaborations, the strengths and expertise of different organisations will be brought together to create greater opportunities for members, students, professionals and the wider community, while contributing to the advancement of engineering and nation building.
The participating organisations include Malaysian Institute of Road Safety Research (MIROS), NanoMalaysia Berhad, Malaysia Extra Low Voltage System Association (MELVSA), The Malaysian Institute of Arbitrators (MIArb), SAFMA, Multimedia University (MMU), Majlis Bandaraya Seremban (MBS), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), INTI International University, Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU), Sunway University, and MTTC College with IEMTA.
