ENGINEER, MARVEX and the Environment, Social, Governance Association of Malaysia (ESGAM) solidified their commitment to advancing ESG issues through the signing of a Memorandum of Collaboration (MOC).
The MOC was signed by IEM President Ir Prof Dr Jeffrey Chiang, MACRA President Peter Tan Chin Wah, and CIS Network President Dato’ Vincent Lim, representing both ENGINEER and MARVEX, alongside ESGAM President Prof Cheah Kok Hoong.
Prof Cheah emphasised the collective strength of the parties involved, stating, “This is a powerful platform to raise ESG awareness. Together, we can prepare the country, industry, and community to embrace ESG practices.”
“There is a need for government support to embed ESG into national policies, as it will serve as a catalyst for economic growth and foreign investment,” explained Dr. Chiang.
Peter Tan, the president of MACRA said “I am excited about the ESGAM collaboration, as we have already started to discuss the idea of having a zero-energy proof-of-concept building for next year’s edition of ENGINEER MARVEX.”
