With electricity costs rising, companies are turning to alternative energy as a cost-effective solution, besides ticking the box on eco-consciousness.
Ahmad Azmi, Director, BESSASIA noted that while solar is the most common source of alternative energy, it has its challenges.
Battery storage systems act like a giant power bank strong enough to power factories, so users don’t have to worry if solar panels can’t collect enough sun in bad weather. “We can help expand our clients’ businesses by addressing issues related to peak power demand.
“Industries often struggle with constantly rising electricity costs; our systems offer a way to manage this while promoting green energy through the use of advanced technology and applications,” said Azmi.
However, Jason Teh, Manager, Sales & Business Development, ERS Energy, said many companies still see the initial cost of converting to battery storage systems and hesitate, as the upfront costs can be quite high depending on their usage.
“Companies need to go through a lot of preliminary engineering assessments and analysis, which cost time and money, and with the materials and installation costs involved, the companies hesitate to give the go-ahead right away.
“But at the end of the day, they can actually save a significant amount in the long run, maybe even tens of thousands depending on usage,” he said.
While this technology is well-established globally, it is still new to the Malaysian market, and at ENGINEER MARVEX, visitors can see for themselves how the technology works, with demonstrations such as a coffee bar that’s fully powered by BESSASIA’s battery storage system.
