Midea unveiled its 8th generation Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) System, dubbed the V8 series yesterday. Unlike other products before it, the V8 Series a single external unit is able to support up to 64 internal units across any configuration, not just the traditional daisy chain connection. The system can be deployed to support internal units across a total of 1,100m of piping and has a vertical reach of 20 floors.
The VRF features a full DC inverter which translates to a higher energy efficiency, qualifying it for as a MyHijau certified product.
Midea Scott & English Electronic Sdn Bhd’s president, Ng Kong Chin pointed out the product is the result of its strategy to emphasise on its building technology to allow it to grow from strength to strength.
“The product reflects Midea’s commitment to innovation, as the brand has invested roughly RM10 billion towards research & development per year,” he said.
A regular exhibitor of MARVEX, Ng also pointed out this year’s turn out is more vibrant than the previous years with a noticeably younger crowd and hopes the V8 Series will be a hit with the visitors.
