The Institution of Engineers Malaysia took the opportunity to hold a Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with four technical organisations to further strengthen the country’s engineering and technical fraternity.
Day 3 of the exhibition witnessed the signing of MoUs between IEM and the Malaysian Oil & Gas Engineering Council (MOGEC), The Electrical and Electronics Association of Malaysian (TEEAM), Institute of Materials Malaysia (IMM) and Technological Association of Malaysia (TAM).
IEM’s president Ir Prof Dr Norlida Buniyamin hoped the signing will further enhance their cooperation and collaboration with these organisations.
“Although these MoUs are not legally binding contracts, it is a significant step in establishing our intentions and responsibilities to work together for the betterment of the industry and the nation,” she said.
The institution also took the opportunity to launch IEM Guidelines on Testing and Commissioning of Fire Protection Systems, IEM Guidelines on Flood Abatement and IEM Guidelines on the Prevention and Control of Dengue.
On the day’s event, Norlida commented that the event was well curated and this year’s exhibition has seen a more vibrant turnout and exhibitors than the previous year.
